Trabzon based website 61 Saat claim Brighton Hove & Albion are the latest club to show interest in Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
The Turkish international has been heavily linked with a move to Sheffield United in recent weeks, but the Blades instead look set to sign their former player Aaron Ramsdale from Bournemouth.
61 Saat report there are other Premier League clubs who are interested in signing Cakir and Brighton are said to be among them. It’s reported the Seagulls board will discuss this possible transfer in the near future.
If Brighton decide to target Cakir, 61 Saat say they will make an offer worth more than €15m to land the 24 year old. However, there have been reports this week the Super Lig side are looking for €25m.
Current No.1 Mathew Ryan still has just under two years left on his contract with the south coast club, and they would be looking to the future if they signed Cakir.
Cakir made 43 appearances for Trabzonspor last season, keeping five clean sheets. His contract at the Senol Gunes Stadium will expire at the end of June 2024.
