Over the course of many months, dating back to January, Arsenal have been linked with a move for Juventus’ Arthur Melo.
The midfielder was the subject of much speculation during the winter transfer window, with a belief that a deal could be struck with the Gunners regarding a loan.
That never happened, and the player remained in Turin, but Italian journalist Rudy Galetti makes it clear the interest is still very much there and Arsenal are about to make a move.
Taking to Twitter, he stated the Emirates side are ‘set to make an official bid’ to the Serie A side for the Brazilian.

He then adds that ‘despite the interest for Youri Tielemans, Arsenal could try to sign’ the midfielder, who is ‘out’ of Juventus’ plans going forward.
There are no details as to what kind of deal the Gunners would be looking at, but considering how much Arthur weighs on the Italian club’s books, there might be some tough negotiations ahead.
