Following the initial reports revealing Arsenal’s interest in Dinamo Zagreb defender Josip Sutalo, we now see a small update on the race for the player.
Outlet TuttoMercatoWeb shows up to talk about the long list of clubs who are interested in the 23-year-old this summer.
Dinamo Zagreb are apparently quite comfortable with the situation, seeing his price rising, and are ‘in no hurry’ to sell him now.
The Gunners, as well as Leipzig, the Hammers and Leverkusen are all said to have ‘already exceeded the €20m threshold’ to get the signing done, suggesting bids, whether verbal or written, have been placed, but none of them have managed to reach a deal with the Croatian side so far.
The Zagreb side are focused on their Champions League playoff matches, and shall continue to use the player until someone places the most convincing bid on the table.
It’s Fiorentina who lead the race in Italy, but Serie A clubs are unlikely to go much higher, and that’s where Arsenal could find an economic advantage.
