Late last week, it was explained by various members of the French media that Paris Saint-Germain were keen to reunite with Serge Aurier.
The Tottenham defender, despite playing fairly regularly this season, seems to be on his way out from the London club in the coming weeks, and Mauricio Pochettino, who knows him well from their time together at Spurs, wouldn’t mind working with him again.
However, the French side aren’t the only ones on the case, as Foot Mercato are reporting that Real Madrid have also come forward to ‘inform themselves’ about the right-back’s situation, who could be allowed to leave for a fee of around €12m.
The La Liga side are looking for someone to back up Dani Carvajal, and it’s said Aurier has ‘spoken at length’ about the La Liga side with Raphaël Varane.
Having played together at RC Lens, the pair know each other well, and the Tottenham player ‘isn’t against the idea’ of featuring at the Santiago Bernabeu.
With both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid fighting for his services, Aurier doesn’t have the easiest choice to make, but Foot Mercato make it clear he will ‘prioritise game time’ when the time comes.
