In case you had forgotten, Pablo Marí is still an Arsenal player who enjoyed a good second half of last season on loan at Udinese.
That made a few Serie A clubs take notice, with the latest of all being Milan, who are keen to bolster their defence with an extra body.
Losing out to Newcastle for Sven Botman, the Italians, who won Serie A last season and will be playing Champions League football next season, are keeping an eye on the Arsenal defender.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who state Marí is the ‘third name on which Milan would be reflecting’, seen as ‘more experienced’ than other targets, such as Japhet Tanganga.
Not only that, but he is ‘already familiar with the Italian league’, meaning that adapting would be far quicker, if even necessary.
Any deal Milan would do would likely be a loan (that’s what they want for Tanganga), but we’ll have to wait and see if their interest in the Arsenal man grows into anything stronger.
