After signing Fulham’s Jean Michael Seri on a loan deal last week, Galatasaray have now switched their attention to Manchester United’s Fred, reports Fotospor.

Earlier in window we covered claims from Turkey that the Brazilian is a target for the Turkish side as they are looking to strengthen their squad for next season in order to compete in the Champions League group stages.

Fotospor report Galatasaray have offered a €2m loan fee to Manchester United for the 26 year old and both clubs will continue negotiations in the coming days.

After losing both Fernando and Babou Ndiaye in recent weeks, Gala are in the market for an experienced midfielder.

The former Shakhtar player cost the Premier League club €50m last summer but he failed to prove himself under both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during his debut season in England.

Fred made just 17 appearances for United in the Premier League last season, and still has four years left on his contract at Old Trafford.

Even if a loan would be considered, €2m may not be enough to secure it. There’s often surprising optimism in Turkey over these kind of deals even being possible, and this looks like another case.
