According to Haber Global’s Onur Tugrul, Fenerbahce and Basaksehir are interested in signing Huddersfield Town defender Zanka.

Tugrul claims both Istanbul clubs have contacted Zanka’s agent Brian Steen Nielsen and informed him they are interested in signing his client this summer.

The Danish defender has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce in the past but, according to Tugrul, Basaksehir are also in the picture now.

After Huddersfield’s relegation from the Premier League, the 29 year old is expected to leave the club and the Turkish Super Lig could be his next destination.

Zanka has openly spoken about his future and that his time with the Torkshire club could be coming to an end.

Fenerbahce are in the market for a defender with Martin Skrtel set to leave the Yellow Canaries in the coming days. Basaksehir are looking to strengthen their squad for Champions League qualification and the Dane looks to be an option.

Zanka is under contract at Huddersfield until June 2020.
