Earlier today, we’ve seen Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte bringing all the details on Manchester City’s deal for Fluminense wonderkid Kayky.
The report said the deal is already signed, with the Premier League side first paying €10m for a deal which could reach up to €26m.
When the news about Kayky first came up, it was also reported that the City Group would be signing Fluminense midfielder Metinho, who would first move to French side Troyes.
Now in another story from Globo Esporte, it’s explained that these two may not be the only players negotiated by those parties, as there should now be partnership between them.
The details of the agreement are still being discussed, but the plan is to have players and coaches moving between Fluminense and the clubs who belong to the City Group going forward, and Globo Esporte says the idea was raised during the negotiations for Kayky and Metinho.
That can only be good news for Manchester City, since the Rio de Janeiro side have one of the best academies in Brazil.
The likes of Richarlison and João Pedro, who have both been successes in English football, both came from Fluminense’s youth ranks.
