It’s been reported in England, Belgium and Spain today that Michy Batshuayi can choose between joining West Ham or Betis before Thursday night’s deadline passes.

It was Ed Aarons who seemed to have the news first, explaining Chelsea have agreed loan moves with both clubs, and a potential offer from Everton hadn’t arrived at that stage.

We then covered similar claims from Belgium, and it was said to be down to the player to make a decision.

He’s at Valencia’s offices waiting for developments and it may now be getting too late for a permanent transfer.

If it’s a choice between West Ham and Betis, ABC Sevilla now make clear it’s only the Hammers left… because the Spanish club have pulled.

They explain that having spent the day in conversations over the signing, the option has ‘finally been ruled out’ by the club.

Maybe they got fed up of waiting. Anyway, as it stands, West Ham is the only option in town for Batshuayi, unless someone else comes in.
