Two days ago, we carried a report from Le Parisien, who explained Frank Lampard didn’t accept N’Golo Kanté’s request to miss a day’s training to attend his friend’s wedding and the midfielder has ‘struggled to accept’ the Chelsea manager’s decision.

Inter Milan were interested in the 29-year-old during the last market and the report also stated the Serie A side will chase him again in the future.

Calciomercato.it have relayed these claims and also provided their own information on this case.

According to the report, the Frenchman’s poor relationship with his manager could see Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio ‘facilitate’ negotiations with the Blues for the player’s signing in January.

It’s claimed the London club are looking for around €60-70m to sanction the former Leicester City star’s sale.

The Italian side could offer €18m cash plus one of Milan Škriniar or Marcelo Brozović to Chelsea in exchange for Kanté.

Inter value both Škriniar and Brozović around €40-45m. Including one of them plus paying an additional €18m fee will help them get to around the €60m mark, the figure set by the Premier League club for their player.

Kanté earns a net salary of €10-11m annually and Calciomercato.it states the figures needed to sign one of the best midfielders in the world are ‘not little’.

The website doesn’t provide any information on whether Chelsea are ready to accept a player plus cash deal to allow Kanté to leave Stamford Bridge.
