Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward has already announced his decision to leave the club at the end of this season, a year after replacing Michael Edwards at Anfield.
The Merseyside club are looking for Ward’s successor. The Athletic reported on Monday that the Reds have included Eintracht Frankfurt chief Markus Krösche in their target list.
Bild have relayed this and they then discuss the ‘truth’ about the rumours linking the German to Liverpool.
It’s claimed there has been ‘no contact’ between the Bundesliga side’s sporting director and the Premier League side over the possibility of taking Ward’s place after this season.
Krösche has a contract until 2025 at Eintracht Frankfurt and feels ‘very comfortable’ with his current employer. In fact, he has a lot of things lined up at the club.
Therefore, Bild state the Bundelsiga side’s supporters may not have to worry about the latest claims linking Krösche to Liverpool. His and Eintracht Frankfurt’s immediate focus will be on the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Napoli.
