Ahhhh, Don Balon. It’s nice to see you again.
The Spanish website, which is incidentally based in London, loves a good (nonsensical) transfer rumour and, sometimes, we like to cover them, because why not?
Before you carry on, here is a thread of their previous claims on Twitter.
On the 31st of January (we were a bit busy that day), there was an interesting story about Manchester United’s apparent interest in Neymar, and how they’ll be able to afford him.
According to Don Balon, Chevrolet are the ones who would like to help the Red Devils sign the Brazilian superstar, as doing so would allow them to use 25-year-old in their marketing campaign and help them expand their image in Europe and Asia.
The website also claim that one person who is really with this idea is José Mourinho (because why wouldn’t he? He’s getting Neymar, right?), having desired to manage the former Barcelona star during his time at Real Madrid.
Bringing him to Manchester United would be a ‘dream come true’ for Mourinho, but the Brazilian isn’t too keen on the idea.
The Portuguese’s style of play doesn’t exactly appeal to Neymar and he’d much rather return to La Liga, this time with Real Madrid.
Disregard anything from ‘Don Balon’. Have gone nonsense crazy, same ones who made up the Higuain interview.
