Chelsea are keen on Lyon’s Enzo Molebe and could make efforts to sign him in the winter market.
That’s according to Le Parisien, and they state the Blues have a ‘concrete interest’ in the forward.
The 17-year-old came up through the ranks of the Ligue 1 side’s academy and Chelsea seem determined to sign him.
Molebe made his senior debut when he came off the bench in Lyon’s Europa League win over Qarabag FK in November. Last month, he featured in his side’s Coupe de France win over Entente Feignies Aulnoye Football Club.
These have been the youngsters only appearances for the first team. His profile, qualities and potential have apparently convinced Chelsea to consider signing him.
The France U18 international is the subject of serious interest from the Premier League side, and this could lead to a ‘soap opera’ at the end of this window.
Le Parisien state Chelsea could accelerate their efforts to acquire Molebe’s signature. They are owned by BlueCo, who also own French club RC Strasbourg.
The newspaper claims Enzo Maresca’s side could let Molebe join Strasbourg on loan if they end up signing him.
