On Thursday, we covered the latest in the Marcos Alonso to Inter transfer saga that seems to be growing, explaining the Italian media didn’t really know how much Chelsea wanted for him.
FC Inter News believed it was around €25m, while Gazzetta dello Sport believed it was around €35m, and now we have Corriere dello Sport weighing in with their information.
Well, we say information, but it could be they’ve just seen the other two and decided to play it safe by claiming Chelsea’s valuation is ‘not inferior to €30m’.
That plays more in Gazzetta’s hand, as €35m is ‘not inferior to €30m’, but it shows how reluctant the Stamford Bridge side are to losing a player midway through the season, even if Frank Lampard doesn’t seem to trust the Spaniard anymore.
Inter would only offer a paid loan of around €2-3m with a view to buy at around €20m in the summer, which Corriere feel would be ‘difficult’ to say yes to for Chelsea.
Either way, everyone seems to be in agreement the Serie A side want Marcos Alonso, they just still don’t really know how much the Premier League club want for him.
They will also have to now deal with alleged competition from Atlético Madrid, who are reportedly keen on doing an Alvaro Morata type deal for the left-back in January too.
