Daishawn Redan was one of the brightest talents at Ajax’s academy and left the Eredivisie side for Chelsea in 2017.

His current deal at Stamford Bridge runs down in 2021, but it looks the 18-year-old is set to leave the Europa League winners, according to reports.

Kicker claims the striker should sign a five-year deal with Hertha BSC in the ‘coming days’ after they reached an agreement in principle with him.

The Bundesliga side are in talks with the west London club and the two clubs should find an agreement for the teenager’s sale for around €2.5m.

It’s claimed that Redan will not be introduced into Hertha’s first team and he will have to go through the German club’s U19 and U23 sides before making his way to the senior team.

Hertha currently has the services of 34-year-old Vedad Ibisevic and 33-year-old Salomon Kalou as the two main players in the attacking division and both their contracts will expire in 2020.

This could allow Redan to become a first team regular at Hertha. Kicker claims they have promised the youngster a lot.
