Chelsea have reignited their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Isco and would be willing to pay €55m to sign him.
That’s according to El Desmarque Madrid, who say the Blues have turned their attention back to the Spaniard after his recent impressive displays.
Isco has been out of favour at Madrid again this season, struggling to convince manager Zinedine Zidane he is worthy of a starting role.
He has recently found himself back in the picture, though, and his impressive performances in those games has caught Chelsea’s attention.
According to the website, they are willing to ‘go with everything’ to try and sign the player and have already held conversations with his agents.
Chelsea want to have the best midfield in the Premier League and want Isco to be the creator, with N’Golo Kanté doing the defensive work.
They are willing to pay €55m to sign him but are likely to face resistance from Madrid, where it is ‘expected’ he will get more game time between now and the end of the season.
Florentino Pérez has ‘no intention’ of selling the midfielder either, although a ‘good proposal’ could change his mind at the end of the season.
