Normal transfer rumours aren’t enough for Don Balon, they always have to take things a step further.
That’s why it’s not enough for them to have just one club being ‘willing to offer €100m’ to sign Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid this summer, or two, it has to be three.
The excitable Spanish rumour website claim PSG, Chelsea and Manchester United are all keen on the stopper, the latter two in case they lose Thibaut Courtois or David de Gea.
Taking a good performance against Real Madrid on Sunday as the spur to push things, Don Balon explain Oblak is a goalkeeper of the highest level and that’s why he’s getting so much attention.
All three proposals would be ‘really tempting’, but Oblak himself is said to be happy at Atletico. Despite that he knows the club may wish to accept a big offer if it comes in, so the situation wouldn’t be a complete surprise to him.
Chelsea and Manchester United seem a long shot, and PSG may decide €100m is too much to spend on a goalkeeper given their continued battles with FFP.
The likelier of the two English clubs is surely Chelsea, given Courtois’ contract situation. Prepare for the swap claims, allowing the Belgian to move to Madrid.
