Earlier this week, it was reported Chelsea’s decision to send Jadon Sancho back to Manchester United can help them land Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens.

There was no mention of the fee that the Blues would need to sign the winger but BILD have today added more detail to the scenario.

The German newspaper explain Sancho’s exit from Chelsea can spark their move for Gittens. While the English press has claimed the player has a €60m release clause, BILD state clause is much higher.

Having said that, Borussia Dortmund are interested in selling the player for a lower fee because of his average performances in the second half of the 2024/25 season. As a result, €60m could be enough for Enzo Maresca’s side and they can wrap up a deal ‘very quickly’.

Chelsea are handed further hope as the report believes that the 20-year-old is keen on leaving the German giants in the summer and has already informed his club about the decision.

The Blues are pushing to have him in their squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
