While Chelsea wait for Leeds United star Raphinha to approve his transfer to the Stamford Bridge, it seems the player continues to have another destination in mind.
Reports from Brazil today claim the winger is still hopeful of a move to Barcelona, and gave the Catalan club an ‘ultimatum’ about the chance of signing him.
UOL writes that while on holidays in Spain, the Leeds player asked his agent Deco to make the ‘last attempt of a deal’ with the Camp Nou side before taking a decision on Chelsea’s offer.
That’s why the representative is currently in Catalonia, as widely reported by the local media, and it’s said Raphinha already has a verbal agreement to sign a five-year deal with them.
UOL recalls that at the start of the week, Chelsea got to an agreement with Leeds to make the move for between £55m and £60m.
Still, that’s said to be ‘behind the scenes’ while the player doesn’t approve it, as they’re just waiting for his ‘yes’ to complete the purchase.
