As Italian newspaper Il Mattino today speaks of Napoli’s transfer plans for the remaining of the summer window, a Chelsea player is labelled as a ‘dream’ for the Serie A side.
They’re talking about Kepa Arrizabalaga, who was already been claimed to be a target for Aurelio De Laurentiis’ club and continues to be seen as a difficult target.
Il Mattino today writes that the Spaniard is one of the names who could replace David Ospina at Napoli, but the big problem here is that Chelsea are not willing to help with the operation.
It’s said the Blues ‘don’t even want to give him up’, even though Kepa hasn’t been the number one choice for Thomas Tuchel lately.
Napoli would like to sign the goalkeeper on a loan deal, and that only makes things more difficult, as Chelsea are said not to be open to the possibility of continuing to pay for part of his wages.
So for the Serie A side to turn the situation around, it seems only a very convincing offer would change Chelsea’s mind.
