Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo sound very confident indeed that Michy Batshuayi can soon be a Sevilla player.

In their Saturday edition, the newspaper say the Chelsea player could be Sevilla’s next signing, on a loan deal without an option to buy.

Sevilla’s management are ‘very advanced’ in their efforts to sign the Belgian, and it’s stated Batshuayi looks on the move ‘with good eyes’ because he feels it will give him more minutes and therefore a better chance of going to World Cup.

Chelsea have given their ‘approval to the operation’, explain Mundo Deportivo, and it’s stated the move could be completed ‘in the next few hours’.

That timing claim should be taken as literally as it sounds, especially with Batshuayi being on the bench for Chelsea earlier today.

Antonio Conte this week said Batshuayi could have a meaningful role at Chelsea, and the Italian manager may well want his club to bring in a replacement before letting the 24 year old leave this month.
