Claims about Chelsea being interested in Lucas Moura, and potentially being ready to ship out Willian to get him, have inevitably made their way to Italy.

Calciomercato report that Willian could now be just what AC Milan want, depending on the terms of any January deal. Signing the Brazilian would be ‘more than a thought’ for Milan, who are considering signings despite recruiting heavily in the summer.

Several Italian media outlets have been stating Milan must look for ‘low cost’ options if they want to recruit in January, but Calciomercato believe Willian could be an exception.

Even so, it appears Milan wouldn’t want to pay Chelsea much upfront.

If a deal could be built which would see a loan with a redemption right or obligation, then it’s stated Milan could find just what they need.

But that would require Chelsea agreeing, which is always going to be the biggest hurdle for AC Milan and anyone else interested… especially if they want a loan first.
