It’s been a while since the English press started talking about a list of left-backs who Chelsea would be interested in signing.
One of the names mentioned is Alex Telles, who’s been standing out for Porto for years and is constantly linked to Premier League sides.
Newspaper A Bola has a story about it today, as they bring some information on the conditions the Blues would have to face to get the Brazilian.
Telles is protected by a release clause of €40m, and Porto aren’t interested in negotiating that price. That’s the way it’s been for the past few transfer windows, and probably why he hasn’t moved.
A Bola replicates the information from the English press saying Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell would be the Blues’ priority for the position, Alex Telles should only be targeted in case the Foxes’ player turns out to be too difficult.
It’s also claimed that Porto haven’t been successful in extending Telles’ deal with the club, which expires in 2021. So perhaps waiting a little could help Chelsea to get him cheaper in the summer.
