The rumours regarding Chelsea’s bid for Porto left-back Alex Telles continue to be much commented in Portugal, with several outlets having stories about it on Saturday.

One of these newspapers is Jornal De Notícias, who beside taking the news from England, also have their own information on the chase. They say the reported €25m Chelsea offer would not be enough to take the player.

Record claims that Telles is returning to Portugal today, and will join the Porto squad in the next few days, regardless of the possible negotiations with Chelsea.

Earlier today, we published an interview with the player’s agent Fernando Otto, who despite refuting claims of recent contacts, still encouraged the chances of a transfer in the future.

As confirmed by Sport Witness, Telles has a €40m release clause, so there isn’t much more for Porto to push for.

In any case, they paid €7m to sign the player from Galatasaray a year ago, and their profit with the sale is already practically guaranteed.

Will Chelsea be prepared to offer more than €25m? That’s over to Antonio Conte and Co.
