Chelsea have been told they need €40m plus Romelu Lukaku to sign Dusan Vlahovic this summer and Juventus ‘will not budge’ from that standpoint.

That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who say that the Blues will not get the swap deal done for the two strikers unless the match the Italians’ demands.

Chelsea and Juventus have been working on a potential swap deal between the two players for several weeks, with the Blues keen to move Lukaku on and making it clear he is not a part of their plans.

They had been hoping to work out a deal with Juventus that would see him included in a deal for Vlahovic but so far have refused to put up the money that the Italians want included in any negotiation.

TMW pick up on that and explain that the whole affair is now in Chelsea’s hands as Juventus have put their conditions on the table.

They want €40m plus Lukaku if they are to sanction a departure for Vlahovic and ‘will not budge’ from that standpoint.

They’ve already secured an agreement with Lukaku on his salary, with the Belgian set to sign a three-year deal worth €9m a year if he were to join them.

That happening now depends on Chelsea, though, who need to decide whether they want to stump up the cash to match Juventus’ demands or not.
