Chelsea are keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt star Hugo Ekitiké in the summer window, according to claims from France.

A week ago, RMC Sport reported the Blues’ interest in the striker is ‘particularly high’ and have started talks to secure his services.

Foot Mercato shares the latest on Chelsea’s ongoing pursuit of the 22-year-old, who has starred for the German club this season.

He scored 22 goals and registered 12 assists from 48 games this season and that has seen him attract interest from several clubs across Europe.

The report states Ekitiké has a ‘good chance of landing in London’, where Chelsea are his main suitor. In fact, the Frenchman is the priority target for the UEFA Conference League winners.

Enzo Maresca’s side are expected to make progress as Foot Mercato state they have scheduled a meeting with Ekitiké ‘this week’.

The Bundesliga club are aware of the possibility of losing him in the upcoming window. They have been working on finding the Frenchman’s successor, which shows Eintracht Frankfurt are already preparing for his exit.

Eintracht Frankfurt value Ekitiké at €100m and it’s unclear whether the Blues will meet their request.

On Wednesday, claims from Germany have stated Liverpool are eyeing a move for Ekitiké, and the player is being hyped ahead of the window.
