Regardless of how often Radja Nainggolan tries to tell the media that he is happy to stay at Roma for the foreseeable future, reports of a move Chelsea just refuse to go away.
The player himself admitted on Thursday the clubs were still having a chat about a potential move, which hasn’t helped the situation, but, with the Euros currently in the way, no update is to be expected anytime soon.
Speaking in the same interview with DH in Belgium, the Roma star, who scored Belgium’s winning goal Sweden, also revealed he had one desire in his career, and that would be to play with Tottenham’s Moussa Dembélé.
He said: “I would like to play once with Moussa. We’ve never tried that. Maybe one day, we’ll be given the opportunity. For me, he’s still a huge talent. We know each other and understand one another very well. He even went to the same school as me in Anvers. Then again, Axel (Witsel) is also very good.”
Compatriots and teammates in the national team, the pair are both exemplary box to box midfielders, but have never been paired up together by Marc Wilmots as of yet.
With Dembélé now injured and unlikely to feature against Hungary, it seems Radja Nainggolan might have to wait a bit longer before getting his wish granted.
