Having already secured the services of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and Hakim Ziyech, Chelsea have made it clear they mean serious business in the coming season.
Spending over £200m on new players, the Stamford Bridge side aren’t done yet, either.
As you know, Chelsea are targeting a new goalkeeper to provide Kepa Arrizabalaga with much needed competition, and the man they have in mind is Rennes’ Edouard Mendy.
A first couple of bids were reportedly made, but they haven’t been enough, but that doesn’t mean they’ve given up.

According to Goal France journalist Benjamin Quarez, talks between the Ligue 1 side and Chelsea ‘are continuing’, and they still ‘want to attract Mendy’.
However, ‘an agreement still needs to be reached between the two sides’ before a transfer can be done.
Beyond that, there’s not much else to say, but one thing is certain: Chelsea’s transfer window is far, far from over.
