Chelsea are reportedly close to signing Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper Eduardo.
According to Diário de Notícias, the Blues have submitted an official bid to the Croatian side, which is still to be accepted by the club president.
The Portuguese goalkeeper was close to join Sporting, but apparently things have changed in the last few hours.
There are two versions of this story. Diário de Notícias says the Zagreb president changed his mind and decided not to let the player go anymore.
However, O Jogo says that the deal with Sporting will only not happen because of Chelsea’s bid.
Despite the different opinion, both papers agree that Chelsea should find no difficulties in reaching a deal with the goalkeeper.
The conditions offered by the Blues are said to be much better, which should really mean that the player is heading to London, the slant of the Portuguese press.
If this is all so simple as made out, then Chelsea should be making an announcement soon… but things are usually that easy.
