Paris Saint Germain are interested in a deal for Chelsea striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, and ‘talks’ have already taken place between the two parties.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the forward could be on the move not long after his switch to Stamford Bridge.

The Gabonese striker joined Chelsea from Barcelona in the summer, having only joined the Catalans at the end of the January transfer window.

He moved to Chelsea to link up with former manager Thomas Tuchel, but his sacking left his future in London in doubt.

According to Foot Mercato, PSG are ‘making a strong move’ for the striker and he is already planning for the move, having ‘always appreciated’ Paris as a potential destination.

A move to PSG would see him reunited with coach Christophe Galtier, whom he worked alongside at Saint Etienne between 2011 and 2013.

Chelsea, down their end, are said to be in a position where they ‘wouldn’t hold onto’ the Gabon international ‘should he want to leave’, which could therefore open the door to a transfer next summer.

It seems the striker is keen on the move, though, and the French giants are already working to make it happen.
