It’s never been a secret that South American footballers feel more relaxed when speaking to their home country media, often saying things they wouldn’t say when interviewed by European outlets.

Chelsea midfielder Willian has been interviewed by Youtube channel ‘Resenha delas’ this week, and when playing a game he had to answer to some questions in less than five seconds, there were quite a few interesting answers coming out of his mouth.

He was first asked to say three names starting with letter C, and was quick to answer Casemiro, Cássio and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Then questioned about three clubs he dreams of playing for, he quickly said Barcelona and Real Madrid, then took a second to say Bayern Munich.

Asked to explain his answer, Willian said: “Oh, I think they are the two biggest clubs in the world, Real Madrid and Barcelona. More visibility. It’s everyone’s dream to play for these clubs. Of course there are other great ones, like the one I play for, Chelsea, and PSG, other greats. But these two are different. These are two that everyone has the dream to play for.”

The Chelsea player also mentioned Messi, Iniesta and Cristiano Ronaldo as three players he’d like to play with, and Messi, Iniesta and Xavi as three of the toughest opponents he faced. On the three games that mostly makred his career, he picked those against Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Milan.

Despite being interviewed by the daughter of the Corinthians president Andres Sanchez, Willian didn’t promise to return to the club. According to the player, he’s still thinking if he’s going to go back to Brazil before retiring, and even if he does so, it will be just for a year.
