It seems that following the signing of Enzo Perez in January, Chelsea could again be shopping at Benfica this summer.
That’s because according to Portuguese newspaper Record, the Blues will be watching the Eagles’ clash against Porto on Friday evening.
The interesting news is that there’s the ‘possibility’ Chelsea will be represented by their owner Todd Boehly at the Estádio da Luz.
It’s said the American businessman ‘has opened’ the possibility of watching the game in Lisbon.
Record recalls that Chelsea spent €121m to sign Fernandez. Now they point out that the Blues have also been linked to striker Gonçalo Ramos and they should indeed go for a centre-forward for next season.
It’s said money is not a problem for the Stamford Bridge side, but their visit to Lisbon won’t be only to see the league’s top scorer, as they will have the opportunity to ‘take notes’ of other players from Benfica.
The truth is that Porto should offer Chelsea many options as well, so that game is certainly a great showcase for Boehly and his team to find some targets.
