Chelsea are set to meet with Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso ‘in the next few hours’ to discuss their futures at Stamford Bridge.
That’s according to Marca, who say Barcelona are ‘very attentive’ to the situation and hope they will be allowed to depart for the Camp Nou.
The pair are on Barcelona’s list of targets for the summer, but so far, Chelsea’s new owners have not finalised any plans for this window after completing their takeover.
However, according to the newspaper, ‘everything points to this coming week’ as being a decisive one for the pair.
The Catalan club ‘hopes’ that Chelsea’s new owners will offer the duo ‘the letter of freedom’ or at least let them go for a ‘very, very affordable price’.
That’s because their finances aren’t the best at this moment in time, and signing Azpilicueta and Alonso is heavily dependent on the Blues doing them a favour.
Hence they are ‘very aware’ of what happens in the summits with both players, as they will be key to them ending up at the Camp Nou.
