Last week there were claims in Italy that AC Milan were setting their sights higher than players such as Cesc Fabregas and Isco, feeling their new era should have bigger stars.

Since then, either Milan have come to their senses, and realised they’d be happy with either, or the Italian media have decided to carry one the story anyway.

As AC Milan’s chase for Cesc Fabregas continues, it seems it’s now time for Chelsea to strike back with their own demands.

Calcio Mercato Web claim to have exclusive news on Monday saying the Blues have asked for a Milan player in exchange.

This player would be the right-back Mattia De Sciglio, with the idea being he’d arrive at Stamford Bridge along with €10m demanded by the English club. Maybe carrying the money in a suitcase.

Milan apparently want to have Fabregas in January, and as Chelsea are not willing to loan the player out, this is all the Italian side have on the table for now.

According to Calcio Mercato Web, a meeting between the clubs is set to happen in the coming weeks, when Milan will try to seal a deal.

Fabregas is described as one of Vincenzo Montella’s priorities for the squad, even though recent reports from Italy suggested that the club’s ownership wasn’t so keen on signing the player.
