Despite reports from Brazil saying Bernard was close to joining Chelsea, the Italian media considers the player to be pretty much available in the transfer market.

Newspaper Tuttosport brings a story today saying that the winger’s agent is expected to meet AC Milan director Leonardo in the next few days, and they will discuss a transfer to the San Siro.

The outlet mentions Chelsea as tough competition, saying that the Blues and other interested sides could be a problem for Milan.

Another issue for the Italian side would be the costs to sign Bernard. Not only his wages, which are said to be of €3m per season, but especially the signing on fee.
