Another summer, another Radja Nainggolan saga approaching. And once again, Chelsea are said to be the biggest threat to take the player from Roma.

As reported by Tutto Mercato Web, the player is having a hard time getting his contract renewed at the Italian side.

Nainggolan currently earns €3.8m per season at the club on a contract which runs until 2020. Both parties’ intention is to extend the deal, but Roma are not willing to pay the €5m asked by the player.

The website mentions Chelsea as the potential destination that could be reawakened, but no recent contacts with the Blues are mentioned in the story. Heavily linked to Antonio Conte’s side last summer, with reports of constant talks with his agent, Nainggolan ended up staying at Roma.

Reports of Chelsea talks for the player were greatly exaggerated at the time, and that situation could happen again in the coming summer window.
