In recent years, Chelsea have been very keen on signing young players to give them a chance in the first-team or to loan them out to their partner clubs.
Last summer saw them do that repeatedly and it doesn’t seem as if they will put a stop to the process anytime soon.
The latest lesser known player that Chelsea are keeping tabs on is Hellas Verona’s Reda Belahyane.
Corriere di Verona, as relayed by CalcioHellas, have reported on the situation of the 20-year-old, who is attracting strong interest from AC Milan.
The Rossoneri’s path isn’t clear. Other clubs are keeping tabs on the young midfielder and one such side is Chelsea.
The Blues’ scouts have ‘shown up’ at the Bentegodi multiple times to watch Belahyane play. That also applies for Marseille, who are actively monitoring the Moroccan.
He is currently valued at €10m by Verona but the likelihood is that this price tag will increase due to the number of admirers. No talks have been held with any clubs yet but the Gialloblu could be open to a January sale to earn funds.
The likelihood is that offers will arrive in the winter window and if there is one from Chelsea remains to be seen.
