Last month, we covered claims from Argentina that Chelsea are one of the clubs chasing Boca Juniors’ Aaron Anselmino.
AC Milan are also in the picture to sign the 19-year-old in the summer window.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who say Chelsea are ready to overcome the Serie A side in the chase for the defender.
The centre-back has made 10 appearances for Boca Juniors since making his way into their first team in June 2023. The Rossoneri have been following him for the past few months.
Milan could miss out on the Argentine because of Chelsea, who have ‘intensified contacts’ with the player’s entourage.
It’s claimed Enzo Marseca’s side are ‘ready to make an offer’ to sign Anselmino, but the report makes no mention of the fee Chelsea are willing to propose.
Calciomercato journalist Daniele Longo took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to also state that Milan like the player. He further adds the Premier League side are in ‘direct contact’ with the Argentine club for Anselmino.
With Chelsea in contact with both Boca Juniors and Anselmino’s entourage, they would be in a better position to secure his services this summer.
