Franck Kessie has been a revelation in the Serie A this season, and put in a top notch performance once again against Empoli in Atalanta’s last match. The latest English club to be linked are Chelsea and Everton.

The Ivorian midfielder has notched up 7 goals already this season, and his performances have caught the eye of some of biggest European clubs, with Antonio Conte and Ronald Koeman among those credited with interest.

Reports in Italy claim Kessie’s agent George Atangana was expected to meet Liverpool, as Jurgen Klopp is keen on adding the young midfielder to his squad, whilst Manchester City have also been linked with a move for him.

Tottenham, Manchester United, Southampton and others have all been linked to the player in recent months.

According to a latest report on Gazzamercato, Chelsea have expressed interest in signing Kessie, and that could be an issue for any other interested clubs. Gazzamercato believe Chelsea could ‘break the bank’ for Kessie, whilst Everton are also ‘at the window’.

The Italian website haven’t mentioned Liverpool or Manchester City, but Juventus are also very keen on signing the Atalanta star.

Given the continued procession of English clubs being linked with Kessie, and the way the claims change by the day, it all seems to be based on assumption. The latest assumption being Chelsea will give Conte lots of money to spend, and that Koeman needs another midfielder at Everton.
