Chelsea fans, you’re being spoiled rotten this summer.
With a deal for Hakim Ziyech agreed earlier this year, the Blues quickly moved on and secured Timo Werner from RB Leipzig. That wasn’t to be the end of the spending, and there’s been a pursuit of Kai Havertz ongoing for some months.
Positive signs continue to come from Germany that a deal can be done, and in the not too distant future, whilst in England there’s talk of a move for Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell.
Over in France the claims have been about Thiago Silva swapping PSG for the Premier League club. The defender is 35 years of age, turning 36 in September, but he still managed to be one of his club’s best players in the Champions League final on Sunday evening.
Loic Tanzi, a journalist for RMC, has the latest on Chelsea’s efforts to sign the Brazilian, and it continues to be positive. There’s now a ‘verbal agreement’ between the player and Frank Lampard’s club, on the basis of a two year contract.
The only thing missing for the deal to be completed is his signature.
