If RMC Sport journalist Loic Tanzi is to be believed, then Chelsea are about to lose one of their young talents to Michael Emenalo.

The former Blues technical director, who quit the job back in 2017, is now AS Monaco’s director of football, and the 52-year-old has decided Jonathan Panzo would look much better in red and white.

Taking to Twitter to announce the news, Loic Tanzi claimed both Chelsea and the principality club had found an agreement over the 17-year-old’s transfer, with the Ligue 1 team hoping to get the deal done as quickly as possible.

No fee or length of contract have been revealed yet, but the centre-back, who can also play down the left-hand side of the defence, is now very likely to leave the club he joined back when he was nine.

Not only did he play for Chelsea in the U18 Premier League as well as make a few appearances in the club’s UEFA Youth League campaign last season, but he’s also a capped U18 international for England, having captained his country at U16 level in the past.
