Unless you’ve been staying well clear of any transfer rumours over the past couple of months, you’ll know who Alexander Isak is.

The 17-year-old, currently contracted to AIK in Sweden, has been labelled the ‘new Zlatan Ibrahimovic’ by everyone, and most big clubs have been linked with the youngster, including Antonio Conte’s Chelsea.

SportExpressen on Monday have an update on the player’s situation, with Real Madrid the clear favourites to sign the player, although a deal isn’t close to being done yet.

Isak is reported to have already paid a visit to Madrid a few days ago, looking at the club’s infrastructure and those in charge, but AIK are yet to accept a bid for their starlet.

An offer of around £7m is said to have been made last week, but a few more clubs have now added themselves to the list of suitors.

SportExpressen quickly dismiss reports that Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are interested, but do say that Chelsea are ‘in the race’ and trying to bring Isak to Stamford Bridge.

As for when a deal could be completed between AIK and the highest bidder, ‘a few more weeks’ is likely than ‘in days’.

With West Ham and Bayern Munich also reported to be in the race for Isak’s services, the youngster is going to have a tough choice to make.

Will he move to Real Madrid, and possible live through the same fate as a certain Martin Ødegaard, or will he choose Chelsea and end up loaned out in Holland somewhere?

Decisions, decisions…
