Chelsea are ‘preparing the lunge’ for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic but may need as much as €80m to secure his signature.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport and various other outlets in Italy today, who all cover the Serbian and a potential exit from Juventus this summer.
The newspaper explains that for Juventus to kick on with their plans to strengthen their squad under new director of football Cristiano Giuntoli, there will need to be sales from the current group.
Vlahovic is one of those that could be moved on after something of a miserable time at the club and there is a growing belief that, of all the bids which may be coming in for players, it will be him who receives ‘the most important offer’.
According to Gazzetta, Chelsea are ‘preparing the lunge’ for the player and there is a belief that an offer could arrive from them ‘shortly’.
This is backed up by Sport Mediaset, who say that when it comes to Juventus’ plans for their attack ‘a lot depends’ on Vlahovic’s future.
All three are believed to be ready to make an initial bid of at least €65m for the striker, a figure that would make Juventus think according to the outlet.
Il Giornale, meanwhile, say Juventus would actually want €80m, while Tuttosport also state that figure when bringing up Vlahovic’s name as a possible outgoing.
That figure is not backed up by Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Giovanni Albanese who has also commented on the striker’s situation.
“Juventus hopes to have an important offer for Vlahovic, but the waltz of the strikers at an international level hasn’t started yet,” he told TV Play, relayed by Calciomercato.it.
Either way, at least as far as they’re concerned in Italy, Chelsea are very much in the mix for Vlahovic this summer and Juventus are open to a sale, for somewhere between €65m and €80m.
