One of the key players for Leonardo Jardim this season, Tiémoué Bakayoko has impressed greatly in Monaco’s midfield, and attracted a lot of interest ahead of the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been linked with moves to both Manchester United and Chelsea, and if Florian Fieschi, Le Parisien’s correspondent in Monaco, is to be believed, the latter of the two are getting ready to make a bid.
The French journalist tweeted on Tuesday that Antonio Conte’s side were ‘preparing a very big offer’ for the player to try and convince him to leave the principality and move to Stamford Bridge.
C est Chelsea qui prépare une très grosse offre pour Tiemoué Bakayoko, joueur ne souhaite pas partir mais proposition à venir quand même

The defensive midfielder has made it clear he wasn’t looking to change scenery in January, despite having thought about a transfer last summer, but it seems Chelsea are hoping money can convince him, and are prepared to bid anyways.
The fact his side are still in the Champions League, a competition the London club failed to qualify for last season, will undoubtedly be playing a big part in the France U21 international’s decision, and the prospect of helping Monaco pick up their first Ligue 1 title since 2000 is an enticing one.
Monaco are currently 2nd in the French top tier, two points behind leaders Nice and sporting a three point cushion on the reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain after 19 games.
