Watching transfer rumours evolve is rather fascinating, especially when it becomes rather predictable.

A week ago, an article in Gazzetta dello Sport stated that in order to move to the Premier League following his brief return to Real Madrid, Alvaro Morata would require his new club to pay him £110k/week, with both Chelsea and Arsenal interested.

Well, unsurprisingly, we find ourselves with an article from Corriere dello Sport on Wednesday which states that Chelsea are, you guessed it, prepared to offer him £110k/week…

The Italian newspaper also states the Premier League side are ready to offer Real Madrid double what they have paid to bring back Morata, which would be a fee of around €60m (£46.1m).

Make of this what you will, but it’s almost as if the Italian press would rather see go to the Premier League than play for the team that annoyingly took away a fan favourite from Serie A…

The player has been in fine form for Spain during the Euros for Spain, scoring three goals in three games, and putting in a real shift for his country.
