Inter Milan will look to bring in a new left-back in the summer, according to reports.
Calciomercato claims the Nerazzurri’s idea is to bring in a recognised player and Chelsea fullback Marcos Alonso’s name is on ‘pole’.
The 29-year-old was of interest to the Serie A side in January, but the transfer never materialised and the Italian outlet adds the former Fiorentina man still remains a target for them.
Frank Lampard has started the Spain international in recent league matches and he has repaid his manager’s faith by impressing in those fixtures.
Alonso scored in the Blues 2-1 win over Tottenham and also had a brace to his name in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth t the weekend.
Chelsea have set a minimum €30m asking price for Alonso and the London club have no plans of giving any discount to Antonio Conte’s side. In addition to this, the Spaniard is also on Barcelona’s radar.
The aforementioned factors could complicate Inter’s chances of signing Alonso.
