For the past couple of weeks, we’ve been seeing increasing stories from the Italian media linking Juventus to Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.
It’s been claimed the Old Lady would like to sign the 28-year-old this summer, and would count on his good relationship with manager Maurizio Sarri to achieve it.
Today, Radio Kiss Kiss invited Jorginho’s agent João Santos to speak about the midfielder’s situation. The representative didn’t mind teasing with a transfer, but couldn’t confirm any talks with Juve either.
“Juventus are one of the main European clubs: all players would like an experience in bianconero. I haven’t heard from Paratici, so far he hasn’t called me,” said João Santos (via Tuttosport).
“Jorginho has a 3-year contract with Chelsea, he’s doing well in London. I read about the approach to Juve through newspapers and news media.”
Asked about Jorginho’s possible reencounter with Maurizio Sarri, João Santos only said: “I repeat: Juventus is one of the top clubs on the football scene.”
Jorginho’s agent has spoken to Radio Kiss Kiss many times before, and had always claimed his client was pretty happy at Chelsea. This is probably the first interview where he openly teases with a move like this.
But as it seems Juventus are still to engage in talks for the midfielder, the transfer still doesn’t look so close to happening.
