Frank Lampard was in charge of Chelsea for over 18 months and the transfer ban in 2019 meant he was not allowed to make new signings in his first window with the Blues.

Hakim Ziyech became his first signing at the west London club. The 28-year-old struggled with two different injuries in his first six months in the Premier League, which forced him to settle for limited playing time under Lampard.

A series of poor results convinced Chelsea to cut ties with the ex-Derby County manager at the start of this year and appoint Thomas Tuchel as his successor.

The German had a quick impact on the club’s fortunes as he guided them to Champions League and UEFA Super Cup success. The former Ajax star, meanwhile, has found it hard to enjoy regular playing time under Tuchel.

Ziyech appeared as a guest on Tiki Taka Touzani, hosted by Soufiane Touzani, and was asked to give his take on the managers he has played under so far.

Voetbal International have relayed his comments. After discussing Alfred Schreuder and Peter Bosz, the Moroccan spoke about Lampard.

It’s claimed the 28-year-old has confirmed he was ‘disappointed’ after Chelsea showed the door to Lampard.

The player has 10 appearances in all competitions this season, out of which only four of them came in the league. While he is still fighting to cement his place under the current Chelsea manager, VI state Ziyech can ‘get along well’ with Tuchel.
