Christopher Nkunku arrived at Chelsea from RB Leipzig in June 2023 and struggled with injuries in his debut season.
The forward has been able to put injury woes behind him and has impressed for the Blues this season, managing 12 goals and four assists from 25 games.
Despite this, the 27-year-old wants to leave Chelsea, and Wednesday’s edition of Sport states he would like to ‘leave now’, meaning in January.
The France international is looking for a ‘high-level’ team in order to recover this top form and Barcelona would fit into this category.
Nkunku’s representative Pini Zahavi has close ties with the La Liga side. The super-agent has offered his client to Barcelona, and he would be willing to adjust his salary to join them.
Hansi Flick’s side, however, are not considering signing the Chelsea player in the winter market due to their financial situation.
With the Frenchman keen on leaving Enzo Maresca’s side in the upcoming window, he and his agent would have to find a new club after Barcelona make stance clear.
Sport have made no mention whether Chelsea are willing to let the attacker leave next month.
