Sevilla are ‘interested’ in Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, according to Estadio Deportivo.
Despite signing Ibrahim Amadou, they are likely to further strengthen their midfield if Steven Nzonzi leaves the club.
Pablo Machin’s side have contacted Bakayoko’s entourage to see if he would be willing to join them. The answer ‘has been affirmative’ as he has said ‘yes’ to Sevilla.
Bakayoko is yet to hold talks with his new manager, Maurizio Sarri. This is expected to take place in Australia, when the Blues travel for the pre-season tour.
Chelsea are willing to allow him leave on a permanent transfer. If the two clubs agree a loan deal, then the player will have to take a pay cut. Bakayoko is currently earning €6.7 million gross, while Sevilla would only be able to pay him a net salary of €2.5 million.
